I don’t believe any one certification is better than another.
Every method has a unique quality to it that I feel is important.
Personally, I am certified through Exhale Core Fusion, created by Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred DeVito, as well as Bootybarre and Bootybarre Plus created by Tracy Mallet.
It all depends on what you value in the method, and when taking a barre class in general.
Here are a few things to ask yourself:
-How big of a role does the music play in class for you?
-Are you more interested in anatomy and knowing how each muscle works?
-Do you like a more modern approach to a class, or a more contemporary approach?
-Are you more drawn to a Pilates approach, or aerobics class approach?
There is no wrong answer, and I feel that no matter the certification, you make it your own eventually- that’s what makes barre teachers so special and how you grow your following.
